About

Haloplane ...

... is a sonic architect, a music maker blurring the lines between genres. His live performances are captivating, seamlessly blending elements ranging from metal's intensity to the introspective calm of ambient music, throwing in infectious electronic style grooves, and then injecting a dose of prog to boot. It defies categorisation, but creates a sound that's undeniably powerful and engaging.

Ed Freitas' journey with the project began under the moniker Cybadrummer (also referred to as Cyba-X), where he focused on hybrid drumming and electronic genre experimentation since 2007. But Haloplane is the evolution, through live looping, sample triggering and crowd interaction whilst showcasing his instrumental diversity and genre-bending vision that push the boundaries of his sonic palette and captivating audiences with his live shows.

Whether you're into metal, electronic music, progressive rock, groove or simply appreciate innovative music, Haloplane transcends many of these styles. He's a sonic architect, blurring genres and captivating audiences with his unique brand.
